My 68 year old mother’s water has been shut off. My dad passed away a couple years ago and there’s been a miscommunication somewhere along the line. The bill hasn’t been paid in 4 years. It’s in excess of $2,900 and the water company says it MUST be paid in full before they can do anything. I’ve asked about payment plans but they insist it be paid in full.I don’t see how they can do that to an elderly person but it’s done. My mother is on a fixed income and I can’t afford to pay it. I’ve reached out to agencies but there’s nothing available in her rural town. I’d appreciate anyone who can help in any way.
