I am seeking emergency move-in rental assistance, in the amount of $2400.00 to afford a rental property in Phoenix, Az. I have an accepted and approved application for partial assistance from Sunny Slopes Agency (caseworker, Randy) in the amount of $500.00. However, I must pay the $1900.00 balance before the agency will pay the $500 assistance in order to pay the $2400.00 total move-in costs. Although I receive $1082.00 per month income, in Social Security Disability Insurance benefits, yet still, the move-in costs exceeds my income and assistance amount put together, which prevents me from affording the move-in rental fees. The place is a small one bedroom trailer with the option to weekly rent, (which I can not afford) and or the option to rent to own, monthly rent, (which I can afford). The down payment is $2400.00 and a payment of around 400.00 per month for rent, lot, utilities over eight years and then I can have my own home. In closing, I have paid several application and administrative , security deposits and rental fees, that are all nonrefundable, only to move in and move out three times in the past few months due to my disability and or inability to afford the rent. Each time I move, I lose more of the little I have and move closer to having nothing at all. If I could afford to secure this place (Trailer #11) it would give me the security I need to live without the constant threat of me being evicted and or me being homeless.
Truthfully, Dant`e
