Update: Unfortunately my luck has taken a further turn for the worse. Two weeks ago I developed a horrible rash on my lower legs, I was in the ER for the pain a week later and then a dermatologist who believed it to be Vasculitis and removed me from work for the week until I could see my primary doctor. As of this past Friday it was confirmed Leukocytoclastic Vasculitis and was placed off of work until better because I work in a nursing home and any sort of strenuous work, even just walking can make it worse and the Dr is currently saying at least a month possibly longer so it takes without saying that I am in financial turmoil and Christmas is looking very bleak. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, I truly do not like asking for help in any form however I’ve fallen onto some hardships as of recently and it’s a very difficult time. Recently my car left me stranded in a Walmart parking lot and I fixed what was believed to be wrong with it, a couple days later I was doing Walmart Spark deliveries to try and make up what I had spent on fixing my car when it started to act up again, I had it looked at once more and nothing was found to be wrong because by the time it reached the mechanic it had stopped acting up. The following morning on my way to work it completely shut down and left me stranded once more only this time I was stuck on the side of a very busy road for five hours before I received a tow to the mechanic. After some digging it was discovered that the PCM in my car had stopped working and to try and save money I opted for a refurbished part and the mechanic could no program the keys so had to hire a locksmith to program them, at this point I was $40 shy of having spent $1000 on my car and at this time of year it is awful as I am a single mom of a wonderful 8 year old little boy. The mechanic was able to get the car started and called me to come get it unfortunately when I arrived and went to start it to drive home the car would not start once again. My dad was with me and we ended up towing it to the closest ford dealership where they had it for a week before calling to tell me that it was the PCM again and it would cost me $1094.89 to repair it. I would throw the towel in on it however I still owe over $4000 on the loan so am currently stuck between a rock and a hard place. I am fighting tooth and nail to be able to afford this repair and in doing so we are now 3 weeks out from Christmas and I have not been able to buy anything for my son, my savings are spent, and due to the timing I was unable to apply for help through Salvation Army or the local places that help because I missed the deadlines. I would be forever grateful if someone would be willing to help me pull Christmas off, even something small would be perfect. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post and I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!!! Thank you!
