My name is Kawya Maleesha, a determined and passionate young individual from Sri Lanka. I have successfully completed all the required academic qualifications to pursue my dream, but I am currently facing a major challenge — financial hardship.

 

My greatest aspiration is to become a ‘Marine Engineer’ and build a career in the global maritime industry. To achieve this, I must undergo specialized training and practical education, which amounts to approximately *USD 18,000*. Unfortunately, due to my family’s financial situation, this amount is far beyond our reach.

 

My parents work as daily wage laborers in the construction industry, and their income is barely enough to cover our basic living expenses. Although they are doing their best to support me, they are unable to afford the cost of this higher education program.
