Hi, my name is Banuka, I’m 18 years old and still in school. Life has been very hard recently — my mother is seriously ill and needs a surgery soon. She has always been the only one by my side since I was small, and now I want to be there for her.

We don’t have a father, and my mother has been doing everything to support me. But now with her sickness and the operation cost, she can’t work anymore, and we are running out of options.

I’m doing my best to continue my education, but with this situation, it’s very hard. We need around $5000 for her treatment and for me to stay in school.
