Hard working father and husband waiting on Double Lung transplant

ARIZONA / Posted 1 day ago by 599032 / New

My Story

I take great pride in being both a husband and a dad those are the two titles that mean the most to me. My wife is my rock; she’s strong, loyal, and has stood by my side through everything. We’ve been married 25 years, and she’s carried my last name longer than her father’s. I love her deeply.

When she gave birth to our son, it was the greatest moment of my life. We had been told we couldn’t have children, and after years of infertility and heartbreak, his arrival was truly a miracle. The pregnancy, though, was incredibly difficult; my wife nearly lost her life. At just 31 years old, complications made her a lifelong heart patient, and she now lives with a pacemaker that saved her life.

Our son is now 15 years old, strong, intelligent, and full of dreams. He hopes to become a cardiologist one day, inspired by everything we’ve been through as a family.

For the past 17 years, I’ve worked in electrical construction, a trade I’ve poured my heart into. I was raised to be a hard worker, and that’s something I’ve carried proudly through life. Originally from Houston, Texas, I later moved my family to Phoenix to continue growing in my field.

Then, tragedy struck. I was hospitalized with severe pneumonia, and though I fought hard and survived, my lungs never fully recovered. Now, I’m facing the fight of my life; I need a double lung transplant.

Even with insurance, the costs are overwhelming. Between medical bills, travel, and the long recovery process, our savings are quickly disappearing. My wife, still managing her own health challenges, is unable to work. We’ve always been the kind of people who help others, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, donating to the homeless, using my electrical skills to give back to the community.

Now, I’m the one who needs help.

Every bit of support makes a difference, whether it’s toward rent, food, insurance premiums, or caring for our growing teenage son, whose birthday is this December. If you feel led to give or share our story, please know that my family and I are deeply grateful.

Thank you for taking the time to read and for keeping us in your prayers.
