Little bit of a rough start this year. The site was having difficulty waking up from its hibernation, but we have worked out all of the bugs. We hope. Our registration is open now. If you have any difficulties, please contact us.
2Hands
We are preparing the website for the 2023 assistance season. On October 1st, 2023 you will be able to post your need for this year and for those who are wanting to do something amazing this year, we strongly encourage you to please visit us often and look in your geographical area, or browse postings of people who need help not in your geographical area as we live in a time when assistance can be given no matter where you live.
2Hands
Kindness is alive and well in this world! As of October 1st, 278 people in need have found an Angel to help them. We are humbled by the strength to ask for help and the kindness of those who reach out. For those who have postings on 2Hands.org and have not heard anything about someone wanting to help, please know that not everyone receives help. The facts are, more people DO NOT receive help than DO. But, this does not mean you won’t. Please read our FAQ page, the second question, to learn more about receiving help through 2Hands. We also encourage those asking for help to login to their account, and from your dashboard, look over your posting for help. Make revisions if necessary to give those reading it the most information you can without revealing personal information which allows others to best decide if they are able to help. Remember, postings which are one sentence, demanding, or simply asking for large amounts of cash, will NEVER find help through 2Hands helpers. For those wanting to do something amazing this Christmas season, please take time to look over postings of people needing help. If you find one you connect with in your heart, follow the steps to acquire their email address so you can begin a dialogue with them and see if moving forward with assistance is a good fit for you and those around you.
2Hands
We have opened the posting system to start accepting posts from people in need. You now have the ability to post on 2Hands.org – Letting people who may be able to help view your posting so they can determine if what they have to offer as assistance is a good fit.
If you feel you will be needing help this year, please click Ask For Help from the menu and follow the simple steps.
If you want to do something wonderful this year, and use your resources to help a person or family in need, please click Offer Help from the menu and look over postings of people seeking assistance in your city, or in other cities. If you see one you would like to begin a conversation with, write down their blue six digit posting ID and click the green oval button found on the posting page to fill out the simple form to request their contact information.
Remember, there is no guarantee of help via 2Hands.org as we are one resource of many, so after you have posted, please continue to seek help from resources within your community or dial 211.

October 1st is two days away. We are VERY happy with the new site and how it is operating. We love that people who post then have full control over their posting from the dashboard found upon logging in. We know this is a trying time for SO MANY people and families across the country and, as we always do, we pray that this platform acts as the catalyst to bring people in need with people willing to help.
We ask that anyone reading this tell those who may find 2Hands beneficial about us. Whether you need help or want to help. The act of asking for help is one of the bravest, and the act of helping one of the most rewarding things a person can do. So – you may be asking for help this year and maybe even the next, but we feel confident that soon you will be in a position to offer help. We see it all the time. Because in the end, what other purpose is there than to help one another with kindness and love?

Slowly bringing 2Hands to life. We normally begin this process first of August each year. We like to make sure all systems are operating. Contact forms are functioning. The path to ask for help is smooth and glitch free and the process of requesting information on a posting you want to help is equally trouble free. We especially want to run the site through vigorous trials as it is as new to us as we are to it. So far – Loving how it is working. Remember, we begin approving posts for help on October 1st of each year, so if you are going to be needing help, please return then and click the Ask For Help button.

So far, we are loving the functionality of the new layout. We are having a slight issue with people, after choosing the category they want to post a need in (Christmas/Non Christmas) then NOT choosing their state. It is VITAL for those seeking to post a need to wait for the State listing box to show and then choosing the state you live in before proceeding to placing your request for help. There are instructions right on the page where you ask for help, but still getting posts without a state attached. Hoping it is just a learning process.

Today we finalized the domain transfer from Yahoo/Tucows to our new site host and it went fairly smooth. The new design is now live and we do certainly hope that users will find it friendlier to use. If any user finds issue, misspellings, difficulty or anything they see which could be an improvement, please use the CONTACT 2HANDS from the menu….. Wishing everyone a safe and wonderful New Years Eve and day!

We hope everyone had a blessed Christmas. We would like to humbly say that for Christmas 2021, 1,289 people found another kind human to simply step outside of their comfort zone and offer a helping hand. Today we placed the request to have our domain name, 2Hands.org, transferred from our current domain host Yahoo to our new domain and hosting manager Namecheap inc.
Namecheap has proven to be a fast, reliable and trusted site host in operation since 2001. We are more than excited about the way our new site design looks and works and look forward for those in need to be able to use it very soon. We believe the user experience will be FAR improved and will result in more people being assisted. Especially s because our new site has a powerful search feature for those offering help to find someone needing the exact thing they are willing to provide.

As Christmas is only three days away, we are getting ready to move the 2Hands.org domain to this newly designed site. This will happen during the week following Christmas. The long time older version of 2Hands.org will become this new version. We look forward to the user experience being easier and more friendly especially when people are trying to post from their phones which was an amazing challenge before.

The importance of placing a detail oriented post for help! Too often we see posts that are demanding, riddled with typos (we encourage you to use spell check or have another look over your post before posting it), or posts that are one sentence long. PLEASE take the time to give details about your need, BUT never place any personally identifiable information in your post such as names, addresses, email addresses etc. These can be given to someone who requests to help you after WE have given them your contact information.

Welcome to 2Hands! We have recently created a new site layout. We had been hosted by Yahoo for 15 years, but they stopped supporting our old layout, so we moved to another platform. We hope you like it. It may take a little getting used to, but with this new site you can search postings by keyword, location and category as well as having full control over the posts for help you make on 2Hands.
