Hi, my name is Jenny. Last June I was in a coma two weeks on a ventilator. When I woke up one of my legs had been amputated. I got “compartment syndrome” in both legs somehow which is where my circulation was cut off to my legs. They tried to save it and one leg came back but I lost one. I was on full dialysis and feeding tubes and a ventilator because I couldn’t even breathe on my own all stemming from this that happened out of the blue. I was completely healthy before this. I now have permanent damage from the ventilator and paralyzed vocal cords. I’m in a wheelchair and on oxygen at all times and still have trouble breathing even with oxygen. I have been fighting to get disability for a year and a half now and while it shouldn’t be much longer I am in a hard place right now as I have bills way behind and need to pay rent that’s also behind. I live with someone that has helped most of the past 8 months and before this I was in nursing homes from my medical conditions. Please I need some help. I need help with so much but anything I will be grateful for. I have rent and bills that are most important as I cannot just go to shelters because I am in a wheelchair and I have a big oxygen machine, breathing machine, I’m on 22 different medications, and I have difficulty doing even the simplest tasks. I also do need some shoes and clothes if you can help with that I would be most gracious. I wear about a large in womens and a size 10.5-11 in women’s shoes or 9.5 mens. I do have a prosthetic leg so I wear one shoe and put one on it but I cannot walk with the prosthetic well yet due to my breathing I can barely practice before I’m fighting for air. I am fighting this though and I will get better. Please any help will help me. I’m sorry to ask for so much but it doesn’t have to be. I’m just saying what I need but I understand times are difficult for everyone right now. I hope everyone has an amazing holiday. Be safe.
