Mom suddenly laid off before Christmas, asking for help making it through the holidays until I can find another job.

Hi,
I hate to be in the situation of having to ask strangers for help but I don’t know what else I could do. I was just laid off from my full time remote job last week. This job was ideal for me because my husband is disabled and I am his sole caregiver so I was able to care for him and work to bring income into our home at the same time. We also have 2 boys ages 8 & 11. The youngest has developmental and learning delays and ADHD. I basically care for them on my own as well. Our oldest is a wonderful help and his 12th birthday is only a couple of days before Christmas. My income was the only income we had so being laid off this close to the holidays is devastating. Unfortunately I will not qualify for unemployment benefits. I am and will continue searching and applying for positions that can hopefully understand my unique circumstances. Until I find another job I am first asking for prayers that I find work quickly, and if you feel it in your heart to help us financially through the holidays for our boys and our household expenses that would be a wonderful blessing. I have already taken care of most of the boys’ Christmas gifts. But as of January 1st our household bills will begin to be due and I will have no way to pay them. Thank you for any prayers for our family and situation, and God bless you if you are able to help with even the smallest amount. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
