I am 43 years old and last year I passed out one day and woke up two weeks later from a coma on a ventilator and feeding tube and alot of other things. I got “compartment syndrome” in my legs. I also had one of my legs amputated off because the trauma cut off everything that controlled that leg. My entire body shut down and I really was dead. They said I now have permanent damage from the ventilator and I’m on oxygen for the rest of my life. I am in a wheelchair now but I do have a prosthetic leg to learn to use but it’s been the hardest year of my life just trying to comprehend how one day I was in great health and the next literally almost dead. I was in hospitals and nursing home for almost a year and I’ve lost everything I ever owned because it was in a house that was sold while I was hospitalized. I’m not a needy person nor am I picky. I just need some basic things again. I’m fighting for my disability but that too takes a long process. Please if you can help with anything even some personal hygiene items it would be so appreciated. I need everything from shampoo, deodorant to personal garments, pants and tops.
