Please help us avoid eviction

Hi, I’m a single mom of 3 amazing kids. I’m creating this post as a last ditch effort to come up with the rent I owe so we are not evicted.

 

I was a teacher and we recently got a new director who has come in like a bull in a china shop. She hired a bunch of people for “her hand picked staff” and started cutting hours from those of us who were there before her to accommodate for it. That has resulted in me having way less money coming in the last month and a half. Then I lost my job completely last week.

 

I couldn’t pay all of Septembers rent so there is a small balance that was pushed to this October, on top of the current charges. My current balance due is $5060, which includes the rent balance from September, Octobers rent, a late fee, eviction filing fee, Novembers fees, then now a November rent.  I can provide proof of everything. My gas is currently shut off due to nonpayment and my power will be cut Friday morning. My eviction hearing is the 24th. I know this is such a long shot but I’m desperate. I have had my vehicle up for sale since it’s the only thing of value I have but since it’s broke down and I haven’t had money to fix it, no one has wrote for it. 

 

I don’t know what else to do. I’ve called every place I can find to inquire about rental assistance and no luck. Everywhere is out of funding or not taking applications anymore. My van is currently broke down because I haven’t had the money to fix it, so I can’t go out and do uber eats like I have before to come up with money if I’m short on bills.

 

I’m at a total loss right now and have no help. I’ve exhausted all avenues. My co-teacher suggested doing a gofundme and it’s not gotten traction, then I found this page and I figured it couldn’t hurt. I don’t even know if anyone will find this post but if anyone does please keep us in your prayers.
