I’m putting my pride aside and reaching out because sometimes being a single mom means having to ask for help.

I am a single mother of four wonderful children: two girls, ages 14 and 17, and two boys, ages 8 and 11.

I work a full-time job and do everything I can to provide for my children. Unfortunately, after paying bills and covering our basic needs, there just isn’t enough left over to buy all the clothes they need.

I also grew up in foster care, so I know what it’s like to grow up without the family support and help that so many people are fortunate to have. I have always wanted to give my children everything they deserve, and it hurts when I can’t do that on my own.

I’m not asking for money. I’m simply reaching out to see if anyone has gently used clothing their children have outgrown, shoes, coats, or other clothing items they might be willing to pass along.

Any help, no matter how big or small, would mean more than you know. Even sharing this post could help us reach someone who can lend a hand.

I’m not ashamed to work hard, and I’m not ashamed to ask for a little help when my children need it.
