Goodmorning and my name is Blake I hope this message finds you well. Just to explain i sent the assistant manager an email in regard to my lease. My lease expired on July 28, 2024, so I went into the office to talk about moving to a different apartment in the complex. I was told that the unit wouldn’t be available until August 31, 2024, and that I would only need to pay a $200 transfer fee. I didn’t find out about the deposit or monthly rent until I enquired and that occurred one day prior to my scheduled transfer into the new unit. I changed my mind about moving into the new apartment because of the amount that was owed. I emailed the assistant manager on August 31, 2024, telling her that I had changed my mind. She didn’t respond until September 3, 2024 asking if I wanted to stop paying on a month-to-month and that my rent would be reduced. And as of now I’m still on a month-to-month I completed the pet screening. I’ve been expressing my interest to get my lease renewed. After the pet screening was paid for, my property manager assured me that she would update to reflect the correct amount I owed. Which she never did and I’m currently facing some financial difficulties and I’m in need of assistance to cover my rent for October – November in total i now owe 3,373.21 i have proof of all the documents and etc. I’ve reached out to sunnyslope, St. Vincent De Paul, any centers that can assist and haven’t received any response or calls. Any help that anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.
