I need help with rent and bills or finding a job as a graphic designer. I was laid off in January after a life saving hysterectomy. It was so necessary that technically my hemoglobin was too low to operate, but if they didn’t I wouldn’t be here.
I’ve worked with Fresh Start and a career coach, but the only job I found was a short temp job paying half my salary back in June. That job is over and I am down to $200.
I’m chronically ill, but I’ve been working remote since 2015. It’s wasn’t find a job once I can get a human to look at my resume and portfolio. In the meantime I am down to $175 and doing online task work when available for $15.00 per hour while looking for a full time position.
I’d very much like the opportunity to remain housed through the beginning of the year so I can hopefully get back on my feet. The city only offers assistance if you can prove you have a job to pay future rent so that isn’t helpful.
Rent is $1450 for my 1 bedroom apt
I’m behind on SRP. I’m past due $533
