I am a 40 year old single female who is currently homeless in the streets of Tucson, Arizona. I became homeless back in November 2023 due to my ex boyfriend taking off with his “Party Girl” and my $4000 life savings, but not before tampering with my vehicle and causing major mechanical issues. I had 3 different jobs as a private contractor for various companies, primarily delivering goods to consumers based on their requests. I have no family in the state of Arizona, nor do I know very many people. Due to limited options, I was never able to fix my car, which meant no work and no paycheck. The entire situation quickly snowballed out of control before I could stop it, which led to my eviction and becoming homeless. I do have multiple barriers that make it difficult to obtain other employment, however I am still considered an independent contractor with the previously mentioned companies. I have even been able to obtain a partnership with a 4th company, however DESPERATELY NEED access to a vehicle of some sort. I simply wish to achieve self sufficiency once again and be able to reintegrate back into society as a capable and contributing individual. Furthermore, while working to save up for another place to live, a vehicle provides some security and protection for a homeless female. A daily concern for any homeless female includes sexual assault, harassment, etc., particularly if you live in the streets. If anyone could please help me out with a hand up, NOT a hand out…. I would greatly appreciate it and am willing to work something out to repay your kindness and/or assistance.
