I’m a single mom to a 4-year-old, and this year has honestly broken me down in ways I didn’t expect. We lost my grandmother recently, and she was the only family me and my son had. On top of the grief, we’ve been hit with setback after setback. A deer ran out in front of us the other night and damaged our car to the point we can’t use it. Our roof is leaking, bills are piling up, and our power is close to being shut off. My son just had a birthday a few weeks ago, and the only thing I could afford was a small cake. I’m embarrassed to even be writing this, but I don’t know where else to turn. I’m terrified that Christmas will come and we’ll still be sitting in the dark with nothing for him. I’m just trying to keep us afloat.. Any help is very very much appreciated.
