I haven’t been able to work for the last year because my son has had a lot of issues at a local school from bullying, to behavioral/mental issues. I am working hard towards a masters degree for social work and trying my best to keep up with that. I’ve never been able to not provide a Christmas and I am more worried about that than even the Thanksgiving holiday. I also caretake to my mother who is a veteran and had stopped working during COVID due to medical issues. We live in NJ and our rent is extremely high. We still haven’t been able to buy our own family home, because we are stuck in the loop of paying someone else’s mortgage to rent over $2,000 a month, even though we could pay our own mortgage at that price. We always make sure rent is paid so we have a roof over our head first, but my children constantly have to go without anything extra such as going out as a family, getting a new toy or item they may want as a reward. I appreciate anyone who may see my post and help us for Christmas. This would be an absolute miracle. We always seem to be the losers picked last or not at all, and we help everyone else as a family and barely ever see the good in the world of someone helping us in our times of need. I go without constantly so my children can have and id have it no other way… but it would be a miracle to have my faith restored good people still exist and someone can help us for Christmas.
