Christmas help for a very special stepchild

Id like to start by saying Thank You to all the kind souls out there that read all these posts. This is very difficult, How does one swallow ones pride and ask for help, but here goes. For many yrs now I have been blessed with being a stepfather to an amazing girl. I admit thru the yrs things haven’t been finacially great for her mother and I but we got by. Well a few yrs ago I was deemed permanently disabled by the courts. What the gvmt. gives you monthly is hardly enough to live on. I dont wish that on anyone. That aside, for the past few yrs my stepdaughter has made mention that she hopes to be able to one day save up for a Playstation. She has never once asked for one from us knowing that money has been tight. Well, a few months ago she completely caught her mother and I off guard by telling us she was going off to college. We knew nothing about it. Knowing our situation she never asked us for any help. She applied for whatever grants, loans,etc. all on her own in secrecy. A few weeks later she left us to go off to college clear across the country. I am extreamly proud of her yet I feel like a failure, not being able to have helped in her venture. I know shes gonna try to be home for Christmas and would really like to be able to surprise her with what she has been wanting to be able to save for, a Playstation. I know its a huge ask and I’m not going to be holding my breath. Just keeping my fingers crossed that maybe, just maybe an angel hears this prayer. A huge Thank You to any and all that read this.
