Hello all! I am requesting help for Christmas for my 11 year old daughter. Her and I have been homeless for about 4 months now. We were staying in hotels but that became too expensive especially after I lost my job in October. We had to leave our home due to domestic violence. We have been looking for help but resources are maxed out where we live. I am a registered nurse and I deal with several medical/mental health problems. I have multiple areas of degeneration in my spine and need knee surgery. I also suffer from severe depression anxiety and CPTSD. I want to work so much!! I love being a nurse but my body does not cooperate most of the time. Working a 12 hour shift is grueling. It takes days to recover from the pain and my mental health is only further exacerbated. I take medication for my conditions but my quality of life is very poor. Some days are worse than others. I don’t want my problems to affect my daughter’s life even though I know they do. She is such a good easy going kind child and deserves to the whole world but mom is tired and I feel defeated. I am asking for any help there is available and would appreciate anything at all to help my daughter feel loved and supported. My daughter enjoys KPop, squishmallow, Manga, stranger things and making jewelry. She also loves cozy blankets and pajamas. Thanks again for listening !
