About 4 months ago my income and living situation changed. I had recently started a new job and my oldest daughter who was living with me and helping out with rent and utilities moved out on her own. This created me to fall behind on rent. Now it’s just me, my youngest daughter and now my foster daughter who I just became her legal guardian through the courts. I just lost my job about a week ago and now have no income to get caught up on my rent. I have however found another job that starts on Jan 5th. I have received a 30 notice from my landlord to vacate the premises by Dec 31st and if all arrears aren’t paid by Christmas Day Dec 25th he will issue a 5 day notice and start the eviction process. I feel like such a failure to my children. I’ve taken in a foster child to show her a better life than living in a group home and having a stable home and now we’re on the verge of losing our home. I am asking for help with the rent that I owe. Once I start my new job and start receiving my pay I will be able to stay current. I pray that you find it in your hearts to help us. Thank you.
