I’m currently going through a difficult time due to the loss of income which has created both emotional and financial challenges for my three children and myself. I have been doing my best to manage everything on my own, but the sudden change has made it hard to keep up with essential expenses like mortgage, utilities, food, and other daily needs.
Right now, I’m responsible for covering all our household expenses including groceries, childcare, my daughter’s medical bills and transportation. I try to budget carefully, but with only one income, it’s been tough to stay current on everything. I’m doing what I can to keep things stable, but even basic bills have become overwhelming at times.
Before applying here, I reached out to local programs for mortgage and utility assistance. Due to the high demand in Arizona, I was either denied by an agency or placed on a waiting list for mortgage help from another agency. I have applied for nutrition assistance three times through the Arizona Department of Economic Security I was denied twice and am currentlyawaiting a decision on my third attempt. By the grace of God, I was approved for utility assistance for the months of August and September. I’ve asked family and friends for help when possible and have also turned to community resources such as food pantries every week. I have done my best to cut costs and adjust my spending wherever I can. While some assistance has come through, it hasn’t been enough to cover all my essential needs. Receiving assistance would provide much needed relief and help me get back on track during this difficult time. Anything would be helpful, especially with the holidays approaching. Thank you for your consideration.
