- Hi, my name is Alejandro. I am a single dad with three young kids: two girls and one boy. The boy is 19 and autistic, one girl is 15 years old, and the other is 13. I fell into drugs. Right now I’ve been clean for 43 days, and thank God, I am going to therapy and an AA group. I am trying to get back on my feet. I lost everything: my job, my car, and I owe three months of rent. I’ve been in a bad situation due to my bad decisions; my kids struggle with shoes and clothes, but they are good kids. My brother helped me with a car and a cell phone for one month, thank God. Right now I am looking for a job. I did over 60 applications and no one has called me. We’ve been getting food from church and food banks. I just applied for SNAP. I want to ask for help for gasoline to find a job and to go to my AA meetings. I called 211 and I was referred here. That’s the only thing I need help with: gas. I think I can get on my feet.
