Hi my name is Jen. I’m struggling and need help. I have nothing to give my daughters (16 and 12)for Christmas. I can’t even afford a Christmas tree this year. Also we live in a small camper and propane doesn’t work so I use electric heater. Can’t use to many or the breaker trips but I only have one. Someone decided they needed them more and stole them.
So a little bit about me. I was diagnosed with stage 4 cirrhosis july of 2021. It was hard to hear because I was a newly single mom with little support system but I am stable and won’t give up the fight! 6 months after this I was woken up to what I call a nightmare. My boyfriend ripped me out of bed and the nightmare began. At the end of it he drug me by my hair to our bed where he put his forearm on my neck started trying to rip my eye out. I lost conscience. By the grace of God I woke up and was able to leave. At the hospital they went through my injuries ending with a fractured thyroid in my neck. When we started dating he convinced me to throw away a lot of my things. The worse part is the apartment I lived in was under his name and I wasn’t allowed there. At that point I became homeless. I had to live in my car for a year and a half. No income made it even harder and virtually impossible to find a home. I have complications with my cirrhosis doesn’t let me work and disability is taking there time with my claim. Almost 2 years now. Eventually I found so eone who took a chance on me. While I was homeless I used every penny I could and bought a 26ft 1984 camper! Now I have a home for my girls and that’s all that mattered to me! My health fluctuates constantly. And if I believed in statistics I wouldn’t be here anymore. But I am maybe I won’t be next year but only God knows and I cherish today!! My girls have gone through a lot and and it kills me I can’t get anything for them this Christmas. I have swallowed my pride and need help. Anything I would be truly grateful for. So thank you for reading this and I hope you have a wonderful holidays!
