I’m a single mom doing my best to provide for my daughter. Earlier this year, I made the decision to switch to gig work like Lyft and DoorDash full time so I could accommodate her school schedule and spend more time with her. It’s been a big change, but I’ve managed to keep up with my bills and maintain my car and home—until recently.
Right before a scheduled maintenance appointment, my car started to misfire and I can’t drive it much. This happened just before Christmas, and it’s been a huge setback. My car is my only source of income, and without it, I can’t get out there to work and cover my bills. My rent is coming up, and my car note and insurance are already two months past due, which is putting a lot of pressure on me. I’ve always worked hard to make things happen for my daughter, but right now, I need a little help to get back on track. Getting support would mean the world to us. It would help me fix my car, catch up on bills, and get back to providing for my daughter the way I always have.
