I have been to this site for several years and have answered ads for several people. The ads I am drawn to are those with needs I can supply, such as warm coats for two small children or gifts for three kids. The most helpful posters are the most specific: “The two-year-old likes Mickey Mouse” or “The eight-year old wears a size 10 shoe.” I steer clear of those who ask for large sums of money for cars or hotel rooms. Keep in mind that kindhearted people still have prejudgments, possibly about your situation. They will worry that money sent to help someone who has made a succession of poor decisions will merely enable more poor decisions.

Keep in mind that most of the people who want to help you are not rich themselves. Most people can afford to meet small needs. I cannot finance everyone on here, but I shall be praying for every poster. God bless you this season and in the coming year.
