I am a single mother of a smart, caring, and talented 13-year-old daughter who has been struggling since we moved to a new school district. She has faced repeated challenges including assault, racism, and ongoing social isolation that have deeply affected her mental health, confidence, and sense of safety.
Despite my efforts and multiple reports to the school, very little has been done to protect or support her. These incidents continue to occur, and it has become clear that this environment is no longer healthy for her.
I found a local private school that offers a safe, supportive, and academically enriching environment where my daughter could finally thrive. They have agreed to accept her mid-year, but the tuition requirement is 60% of the annual cost, which comes to $4,760. I can contribute $1,500, but I am unable to cover the remaining amount on my own. The school has already provided a $1,000 financial aid reduction, which is reflected in the current tuition balance.
