Hi, I didn’t know if I just message you or what.. and I really really hate asking for help, but we are struggling so bad this year. Since October, our landlord traded our house for some apartments in town. The woman who got our house had a house she said we could rent. I did notice it was up for sale, I asked her about that. She said that she didn’t have any bites and was selling it as a rental, but if no one bites she was gonna take the listing down. I told her I just wanted to stay here til we got taxes back so we could have some money saved up. I also told her my ex landlord in Vincennes had a small rental but I didn’t want to take my daughter out of school & dance if I didn’t have to! She said she had this rental, so we took it. Fast forward a month, she had someone to come look at the place.. which is crazy because it has mold , no proper ventilation, and drop ceiling. I figured no one would take this house.
She messages me and then tells me that the person who came to see the house and her have been negotiating and they decided to buy it and did not want to be a landlord, and that we had by December 1 to be out. I told her that’s insane, right before the holidays and she told me she talked to the person and they said they would halt til February 1st.
A couple weeks later, I asked her who the new owner was so I could pay them rent. She told me that she will take it and give it to them. When I told her no I’ll give it to the new owner, she then got all mad and said well it’s her son buying the house.
Still wants rent for December and January, and on top of it all, our cars rear end is messed up, and we need to get that fixed asap but my fiance just been having to drive it, even though it’s pretty dangerous. The back end fish tails if you go too fast. AND on top of all of THAT my dummy fiance got a DUI and now has to find and pay for a lawyer & impound fee. (Granted he blew a .09 and .08 is legal limit, and he felt perfectly fine to drive and passed the field sobriety tests😒)
Anyway, we are drowning in overdue bills, literally every single bill we have is now overdue by 2 months, now Christmas is coming up and we just had to pay to get our car out of impound, and I feel my kids shouldn’t have to suffer for my finances mistakes. But it’s either Christmas presents or keep the lights & water on this year 😭 plus having to have rent and a deposit for a whole other place by February 1st, while also paying this lady rent until we have to leave ..
So yeah, I was just hoping for a little help this year if you’re able to do so!!
