Hello, my name is Ashanti, and I am the proud single mother of two phenomenal children: a boy, 6, and a girl, 5. I chose to become a single mom three years ago, by deciding to end a generational curse of divorcing my then-husband, the father of my children, due to abuse and mental illness. Throughout this time I have received no support from him, financially, emotionally, mentally, nor physically. I’ve been maintaining my home; however find myself struggling each month, living paycheck to paycheck and trying my best not to allow my children to feel the effects of my single-income challenges. I’m seeking assistance with utilities, groceries, clothing, and gas. I appreciate any and all help that’s extended to us as we overcome this valley season.
