Hello everyone,
My name is Harper and as the ‘title’ says, I never thought I’d be doing this. I have a decent job. I’ve worked for the FAA for almost 6 years. But, as we all know, the govt shut down for several weeks and I still haven’t been paid. Even after I finally do get paid, I’m so far behind on the bills that there won’t be anything left over for Christmas. I don’t qualify for the $10,000 bonus that the govt is saying we’ll get because I took ONE day off when all 3 of my kids were sick. Everything’s a mess. 🤦♀️
I’m a single mom. My husband, Eric, was a long haul trucker and was killed in an accident 4 years ago. It’s been hard. Almost too hard. However, we’ve been blessed by our strong faith and knowing that tough times don’t last forever. My babies have been so kind and understanding, but I would still love to be able to provide a little sparkle and joy, if I can.
My girls are 16, 13 and 9. They’re my world. I truly believe that if it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t be here today. They keep me motivated. Grounded. Humble. They make my world so bright that I hardly even notice the darkness some days. I am so, so grateful for them.
They aren’t picky. Anything at all would make them smile ear to ear. And seeing them smile is my only Christmas wish this year. If anyone feels called to help this tired mama out in these uncertain times, I would be forever in your debt. I don’t even know you yet, but you’re already in my prayers. 🫶
