Hello, and thank you for reading our story. I am reaching out for Christmas help for my son and Mother. Hoping to bring them a Christmas they both well deserve.
Since my father passed, I have become the full-time caregiver for my Mom, who has dementia and needs constant support. My little boy is Autistic, and it’s just me handling everything. I work tirelessly to maintain a safe, fun, and loving home for them both physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Despite the challenges, my son is doing so great! He was in intensive ABA therapy (5 days a week 8-4, plus OT and speech 2xs a week) since he was 2 1/2, and he graduated this July! Now he’s killin it in Kindergarten class. Despite the odds he’s come so far and worked so hard to get to where he’s at today. I desperately want him to have a special Christmas he deserves.
I have to be honest. This support would also selfishly be a gift for me. The intense stress and worry I carry daily is enough, then add holidays to it is a lot to say the least. To get help during this time my stress would go down tremendously and that is a gift I’d cherish. I will be forever grateful for any help. Now, here comes the hard part… I humbly leave this wish list with hope.
