On November 15th 2025, while my husband was on his way to work he hit a deer in our only vehicle. Insurance deemed it totaled immediately and we have been in a rental since. Insurance stopped paying for the rental as of Dec 1st when they issued payment(which didnt cover entire cost of our vehicle so Gap is covering and we are just walking away). We are rebuilding credit and can not get anyone to loan to us without a hefty down payment. We are continously trying and are running out of options. The rental has and is continuing to drain us. We have unfortunately went through every bit of what little monies we had been able to save for a Christmas fund to pay for this rental and now that its gone, our bill and grocery money is being used to pay for the rental
Money is low. Groceries are running out, we desperately need a vehicle that funtions with our large family or two smaller cars. But I also want our kids to have a Christmas. Even if its just 1 or 2 presents from “Santa”. We are told we don’t qualify for any state assistance and all Christmas assistance programs are closed or full the moment I tell them we are a family of 2 adults and 8 kids. Any and all help would be a blessing.
