I’m just trying to get caught up. I fought tooth and nail to get out of a DV situation and move across the state, just to have him follow me and continue to make life hard. He got my car towed and I couldn’t get it back. He got my utility assistance taken away. I managed to get another car, but it now needs to be fixed (it’s old and needs some TLC in addition to the gas line being cut and a hole drilled in the gas tank). The insurance lapsed and MVD is going to suspend my registration. I just got my gas turned on for the winter after it had been off for more than a month (I applied for LIHEAP almost two months ago but they haven’t even looked at the plication yet). I do work and pick up extra work when I can. I am trying to get disability. It seems like ever since I left my abuser if it could go wrong it has and I just can’t catch a break. I’m not looking to celebrate the holidays or buy gifts or anything else. I’m just trying to get caught up and have a vehicle that works just enough to get to where I need to go. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated.
