First I want to say that whoever reads this I hope that you and your family are well. I am a educated single mom that was laid off over a year ago, and I do not have a car anymore and have been getting help from friends financially. My ex-husband decided that he no longer wanted to be consistent with child support or be in contact with our children. In spite of the challenges and having a child with special needs, I will say that I am blessed because even when we had no place of our own, God saw fit for help to come in the form of hotel/motel safe stays. My children are very intelligent and sweet. I’m proud of them but they have no idea that I am struggling. I recently started back working but its not like the type of money that I used to make. We also have a permanent apartment now. I am asking for help with rental assistance and funds to get furniture. I am not sure if I can say the amount of the ask here but it is not subsidized housing and I live in the city of LA, so rent is over $2k. If you feel moved to help me and my children I greatly times 10 appreciate and thank you!! I just need to make sure that December rent is paid so that I can save what I make to pay for January rent.
