Hello, I am a husband of 20 years with 4 children. We have had a very tough year. My wife was diagnosed with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension. Her body produces too much spinal fluid which puts pressure on her optic nerve causing severe headaches and temporary blindness. She has been a teacher for 22 years, unfortunately due to her condition, she had to take a different job which allows her to miss days if she is having an episode of IIH. Her salary is half of what it was. I have also had to cut back to part time at work so that I can care for her and our 4 kids when she is sick. We have depleted all of our savings just making ends meet. We are to the point that I don’t know how we’re going to buy groceries. We also don’t how we’re going to buy Christmas for our kids.
