Long story short, Christmas is going to be severely lacking this year. My husband is the household provider, and I care for our toddler while our oldest is in school. I’ve been applying for jobs within my area and I get constant rejection letters in return, so that’s been difficult.
My husband tore and damaged a muscle at work, which resulted in a knee surgery in 2 months. Due to these injuries, his hours at work have been short this month.
Our rent was due on the 1st and we only have half of it. Our grace period is almost up, and asking our families for help is out of the question.
I don’t have any decorations to make Christmas magical for my babies, and they’re not gonna have much to open on Christmas morning which hurts this mamas heart more than anything.
So I’m asking for help with Christmas for my kids, and help with my rent to keep a roof over their heads. I will also note that we’re not behind with rent either, but we will face an eviction come the 8th since we live in affordable housing.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope it doesn’t sound too stuffy, but it is genuine. This is the first time I’ve found myself having to ask for help like this and I feel low for it.
