Good morning 🙏 Im looking for help to give my niece a Christmas, this being the first since her mother passing away.  

I took my niece in at my age of 48 and no kids, I can’t afford anything and most days it’s one meal I can afford, 

I do my best and the small amount from her survivor benefits covers therapy. 

Food is expensive because she’s a Type 1 diabetic, she eats and we have a warm place to call home but nothing more. I couldn’t afford kids so I had none until now. 

She has a room she wants to make her own and has made a list for a few things for her room and make up, nothing really expensive at all. 

She knows I can’t afford Christmas or a tree and is so use to disappointment she said it’s ok, but is it really?! 

I won’t make a dinner I can’t afford that, she said it’s fine, but is it really?!

Because she’s  15 we weren’t allowed on any angel trees or toys for tots, she is a child at 15 she’s a child with the weight of the world on her back. 

She lost everything when her mother passed, the house was looted and everything cleared out, I haven’t even been able to replace her clothes or personal items. 

I know we’re getting close and being too late to have a Christmas so I’m asking again for someone to please help, her age shouldn’t be a deciding factor she is deserving of a good Christmas.  

We have 2 weeks and as of now no contact to help, I’m not giving up yet, I know it takes ONE special person to see past her age and see she is a child still.  

She helped take care of her mother and seen things no child should’ve seen but she wanted to help take care of her mom and now she’s in therapy. I’m trying, I work all I can and do without now so she has what she needs and eats good.
