There is so much going on for my family currently. Both of our vehicles are broken down. Our Acadia that we bought for long distance trips to see my new Multiple Sclerosis Specialist Neurologist, in Ohio, and my son’s Geo Metro that was for my son going back and forth to work, local appointments and grocery shopping, are both not drivable.

The plan was to get my MS under control, so I could return to working, as an advocate for those in need.

We tried every shop in the county in which we reside, to get them fixed, but no one in the county has the equipment or knowledge to fix the Acadia, which is estimated to cost between $1500-2000 to fix. We would let it go, but we cannot, because of the vehicle loan that was used to purchase the Acadia. We still owe more than $9000.00 for the Acadia, which we bought in November, 2021. We would have waited until late Spring, to find a vehicle to purchase, but my son had to be able to go back and forth to work and school, only to have the Acadia break down.

The Geo Metro needs the engine rebored, which I have been told will cost about $300. No one here does that, either.

With both vehicles not working, my son has no way to get back and forth to work or school and with my not working, due to my MS not being under control, our income is severely limited.

We are also in need of household furniture for our kitchen, living room, bedrooms, including beds, dressers, bookcases and shelving. Everything is stored in boxes. We had furniture, but it was older and all fell apart around the same time. We also need a range. Our range was more than 30 years old and caught fire after shorting out in the back panel.  

Lastly, with my currently not being well enough to work, our rescue puppy dogs and kitty cats are behind on getting veterinary care. 

I know this is late, but I have been very sickly for some time and am only now feeling well enough to post this.  I am not meaning to be greedy. There are currently a lot of people in need of a hand up. I am grateful for any and all help received.
