Hi everyone, this isn’t easy for me to post, but I figured it doesn’t hurt to ask.
This year has been a big transition for me. I recently moved into a new place after taking in a 13-year-old boy who means a lot to me. I’m doing my best to make our home comfortable and give him a good Christmas, but I’m honestly struggling a bit right now with furniture, car repairs, and just getting settled.
If anyone is able or willing to help in any way, it would mean more than I can say. For him, he wears men’s size 10 shoes, large kids sweatpants, size 12 skinny jeans (or adult skinny jeans around 25–28), and large kids T-shirts. He has been asking for a black pair of crocs. He likes to play video games and loves fidget toys, 50ft LED lights for his room, and gift cards to the mall, Walmart, or Amazon. He’s also in need of a warm winter bubble jacket with a hood — black or darker colors.
For our home, we are still missing a few basics. If anyone happens to have or know of a couch, a TV stand (around 65”) for the living room or a TV stand for his room, washcloths, bath towels, a dustpan, a small bathroom trash can, a nightstand, no-drill curtains for 5 windows, bed sheets (full for him, king for me), comforters, blankets, pillows, food containers (safe for hot and cold and dishwasher safe if possible), bath mats, an area rug, coffee mugs, or simple no-drill home décor, we would be incredibly grateful. Gently used items are absolutely okay.
