Hello, my name is Jude. I am 43 years old and currently living in a rented home in Meridian, Mississippi, with my wife, our two young sons (ages 3 and 6), and my elderly parents.

About ten years ago, we had a stable and happy life. However, everything changed after I lost my job. Shortly after, my wife had to undergo a critical brain surgery, which drained much of our savings. We had to borrow money and mortgage family jewelry just to cover her medical expenses.

As life went on, we were blessed with two children, but raising them became a real challenge due to our limited income. My elder son’s birth brought more medical bills, and I had to borrow even more to support him. Then came the COVID-19 pandemic, which pushed us further into hardship. We sold our car and the remaining jewelry just to make ends meet.

With great effort and some help from family and friends, I was able to begin my son’s education. I also started a small chemical business to rebuild our life—but unfortunately, it collapsed after a major customer failed to pay what they owed me (nearly $12,000). This loss was devastating, and I have been unable to recover since.

Today, I am carrying a heavy burden:

• Unpaid house rent for nearly a year

• Loans from banks and individuals

• Daily living expenses for my wife, children, and elderly parents

We are truly struggling to survive day to day, and I am doing everything I can to protect and provide for my family. But now, I am reaching out with humility and hope.
