My 27 year old sister died in March, then my maternal grandfather passed away in July and my maternal grandmother passed away on October 31st.
This is all so heavy, and what family I have left has come together in a beautiful way supporting each other. I have covered the costs of planning and arranging memorial services, but my mother does not get paid bereavement leave and has not been able to afford to take any time off at all to just grieve.
It is my goal to give her the ability to take some bereavement days off of work. Post tax her take home income is about $100/day. If I can collect $500 to offer her one week off of work I will take this post down. God bless you and thank you for considering 🙏🏽
