Hi, I’m asking for urgent help for my family. I am a survivor of a domestic violence marriage and have been raising my children on my own for 7 years with sole custody and a protection order, without any financial support from my ex. We secured a home and have lived a safe beautiful life since leaving.
Recently, everything happened at once—I lost my car, my city has no public transportation, some of the assistance I get was delayed due to the shut down, and this has made it extremely hard to get the kids to school, run errands, or maintain any income. Right now, we really need help with paying our electric bill, fixing my car so I can get back to work and getting basic necessities for my kids and home, like food, clothing, and school supplies.
