Hello. Myself and my 2 boys were homeless for 2 months. We got approved for a place on the 15th of October. I was corresponding with 211 Arizona to help with move in fees. I was approved for waived admin fees, $1000 off and 10 weeks free, and I only had to pay $535.30 to move in. I called the program back and told the woman from 211 the amount, she stated “That’s not a lot, you can pay that yourself and save that money for someone else who needs it.” That was on October 6th. I called 211 back and explained the situation. They stated that was unacceptable and will pay the first month’s rent instead, but I had to wait for correspondence from her supervisor. That was on October 12th. On the 14th the person in charge of sending the payments out contacted me and my landlord through email stating to send all the information to send the payment info. My landlord sent all required documents. She did need an update cost for November and she requested that and received it on October 20th. I was also cc on that email as well. I’m thinking everything was in good standing because she received everything that was asked of my landlord. On Sunday November 1st I received an email form the program supervisor that she never received the documents and the program is now closed. I’m not sure where the communication went wrong, but she indeed received all the documents requested, as my landlord and I have all the emails. I start a new job on the 9th of November. I really need help paying rent only for November. I’m afraid of sleeping on the street with my kids again.
